How baccarat hands are scored

Baccarat uses a fixed set of card values. Cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value. Aces count as 1. Tens, Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth 0. Only the last digit of the total matters. For example, a hand of 7 and 8 totals 15, so the hand value is 5.

When you open a table on the site, the dealer draws two cards for Player and two for Banker. If either hand totals 8 or 9, that is a natural and the round ends. Otherwise a third card may be drawn automatically according to strict rules. You do not make any drawing decisions.

The three main bets explained

You can bet on Player, Banker, or Tie. Player pays 1:1. Banker pays 0.95:1 because the platform takes a 5% commission. Tie typically pays 8:1, but the house edge on Tie is much higher. For a beginner, Banker is statistically the safest choice over many rounds.

Do not treat patterns as predictions. They are records, not forecasts. Use them to check if the table has been choppy (alternating wins) or streaky (long runs).
